The practice of switching boats abroad or flying foreign flags to the Turkish flag has been terminated.
The practice regarding the transfer of yachts, cutters, boats, passenger and excursion vessels belonging to real and legal persons abroad or with foreign flags to the Turkish flag has been terminated.
With the communiqué of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette, a temporary article was added to the communiqué regarding the transition of boats abroad or flying foreign flags to the Turkish flag.
According to the temporary article, as of today, applications regarding the registration or registration of boats for free circulation within the scope of the communiqué will not be received.
Applications previously made to the port authorities and whose procedures are still ongoing will be finalized by December 31.
