Ministry of National Defense published images of the work carried out by the Turkish Naval Forces Rescue and Underwater Command on the sinking ship KAFKAMETLER.
In the statement made by the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), the TCG AĞ-5 ship affiliated with the Rescue and Underwater Command of our Naval Forces and the First Class Divers assigned to the Underwater Search and Rescue Group Command sank in front of the breakwater in Zonguldak’s Ereğli Port on November 19, 2023 due to the storm. Search operations were carried out on M/V KAFKAMETLER and the surrounding area.
“During the search and rescue activities carried out by diving and using a Remote Controlled Underwater Vehicle (ROV) between 23-25 November 2023, the dead bodies of 3 sailors have been found so far.”
