The ship, which was dragged aground due to a storm in the İnebolu district of Kastamonu, was rescued with the help of a tugboat and towed to the port.

During the storm that hit on November 27, the ship named “Vamos” flying the Cameroonian flag was dragged aground and ran aground. The 11 crew, 2 of whom were Turkish, who were stranded on the ship that ran aground after unloading cargo at the port, were evacuated from the ship with the joint work of AFAD, coast guard, fire brigade and gendarmerie teams.

After the storm subsided in the region and the sea wave level returned to normal, 50 tons of fuel on the ship was loaded onto tankers arriving at the beach and evacuated by using hoses.

After the fuel was evacuated, work was started to tow the ship from the land where it was located with a tugboat. As a result of approximately 4 days of work, the ship was rescued from the land it was sitting on last night and was towed to İnebolu Port with the help of a tugboat. The bottom of the ship docked at the port will be checked with the help of divers.
