YILPORT has made an important investment with the aim of “becoming among the top 10 port operators in the world”.

With this move by YILPORT, it is aimed to ensure faster and higher quality communication between the existing and recently acquired operations in the three regions.

The infrastructure service that will provide wide area network (WAN) connection to the global structure covering Orange Business, YILPORT’s ports, offices and data centers in the Scandinavian, Mediterranean and Latin American regions will be received from Turkcell.

It is planned to establish a hybrid connection for YILPORT’s offices and data centers in the ports of Oslo in Norway, Gavle and Stockholm in Sweden, Istanbul and Kocaeli in Turkey and Toronto in Italy.

Later, the Port of Lisbon in Portugal and Ecuador, where YILPORT has invested to create the largest terminal on the Pacific coast of Latin America, will be added to this network.

The structure, which will connect YILPORT’s global port operations portfolio, will also include cloud-based applications and security services. The new network will give YILPORT the freedom to act through a single point of contact.

YILPORT, which currently operates in 12 countries with 24 maritime and 7 inland port operations, continues its global growth process with the acquisition of new port enterprises. While the company has added many new ports to its portfolio in the last 10 years, it is now the 11th largest international terminal operator in the world, according to Drewry’s 2022 rankings.

YILPORT CEO Yüksel Yıldırım previously announced that they aim to be among the top 10 global port operators by 2025. (In the news)
