193 thousand 634 lira fine for those who catch illegal fish

A fine of 193 thousand 634 liras was imposed on 88 people who were determined to be illegally fishing in the Munzur Valley National Park in Tunceli.

Munzur Valley National Park, one of the important national parks of Turkey, attracts attention with its untouched nature and water resources.

Animal species such as brown bear, otter, trout, lynx, wolf, wild goat and badger live in the national park, which offers different beauties in every season.

Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) Tunceli Branch officers continue their work to protect the wildlife in the park.

The teams, which patrol at regular intervals, found that 88 people were fishing illegally during their inspections in the national park between January 1 and October 17.

These people were charged with the crime of violating the Fisheries Law and a fine of 193 thousand 634 liras was imposed.

DKMP officers also seized 108 fishing gear used in fishing.
