The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs announced that an administrative fine of 35 million TL was imposed on ships polluting the sea.

The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs announced on its social media account that a total of 35 million TL fine was imposed on ships causing pollution in the sea in 2022.

‘In 2022, an administrative fine of approximately 35 million TL has been imposed on ships that have been found to be polluting as a result of the notices received by our Port Authorities and the inspections we have carried out. We are on duty 24/7 for safe shipping in our clean seas.’
