5 thousand natural red-spotted trout fry were released to Karatepe in Bahçecik location of Trabzon’s Araklı district.
At the event attended by Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) President Erkut Çelebi, Nature Conservation and National Parks 12th Regional Deputy Director Murat Kefelioğlu, Trabzon Provincial Director Akif Ümüzer, students, headmen and other relevant people, red-spotted natural trout fry were released to Karadere.
TTSO President Erkut Çelebi pointed out the importance of protecting natural life and said, “In this sense, important studies are being carried out to maintain and increase the fish population in our rivers. We released 5 thousand baby trout into Karadere. We thank our friends who continue the work.”
Nature Conservation and National Parks 12th Regional Deputy Director Murat Kefelioğlu stated that baby trout were produced in the facilities in Altındere Valley and mainly released into the streams in the region, and said, “In 2023, 2 million 200 thousand baby trout were produced and released into the streams. 5 thousand in Karadere.” “A 9-month-old red-spotted natural trout fry was released. We continue our work to increase the number of trout in our streams,” he said.
