A company called Belmont Boatworks, operating in the United States, has produced an electric boat with a solar panel on top. The boat can reach unlimited range while benefiting from the sun.

Manufactured in the USA, the boat can obtain 1440 Watts of power from the solar panels on its top. The boat, which has 4 360 Watt solar panels, can proceed smoothly with the solar panels as long as it travels at a speed of 9 km/h.
Although the boat has 4 lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 14 kWh, it does not need the energy in the batteries when the weather is clear. In this way, it does not have to depend on electricity on the shore.
The boat offers a range of 39 km when traveling at full speed (11 km/h) when there is no daylight, that is, at night, and a range of 72 km at normal cruising speed. When the speed of the boat is slowed down to 7.5 km/h, the night range reaches 160 km. This shows that it can reach unlimited range during the day, except in cloudy weather.
The boat called Solar Sal 24, whose roof is covered with solar panels, has a price tag of 135 thousand dollars.
