Children in Kocaeli left paper ships and balloons into the Gulf of Izmit to support their peers in Gaza on the occasion of World Children’s Rights Day.

In the program organized by Kocaeli Voluntary Cultural Organizations Platform, approximately 30 children gathered in Seka Park with the paper ships they prepared with their families.

After the prayer made by Izmit District Mufti Mehmet Reşat Şavlı, the children released the paper ships they made and balloons bearing the colors of the Palestinian flag into the sea.

Speaking at the program, Kocaeli Voluntary Cultural Organizations Platform Term President Muhammet Hanefi Akbulut stated that he thanked the children who came with their families to contribute to awareness and said, “Today, bombs are not raining on us. It is cold and cold, but they are mercilessly dropping bombs on our brothers and martyring them. Today, we will leave paper symbolic ships into the sea.” “It was important for us to be aware of this.” he said.

The program ended after taking a souvenir photo.
