Cleaning work on Bodrum beach

After the strong wind in Bodrum, cleaning work was carried out on the beach.

In Muğla’s Bodrum district, tradesmen on the coast started working to clean the algae and waste that were dragged to the shore due to the strong wind.

The waves generated by the strong wind that hit the district the day before dragged algae and some waste onto the shore.

After the wind lost its effect, the operators and their employees on the Kumbahçe beach started cleaning work. In addition to algae, cardboard, plastic and tin packaging waste was collected from the beach. Tables and chairs were washed and the windows of some workplaces were cleaned.

Serbay Demirel, one of the operators, said that they collected the algae and residues in bags.

Drawing attention to waste, Demirel said, “I wish we were just collecting seaweed. But there are different wastes. We need to be a little cleaner. Because the sea is our future.” said.

In the strong wind affecting the district, the approximately 15-meter sailboat, which broke away from the vault off the coast of Kumbahçe District, was also dragged to the beach. Daily life was negatively affected in Bodrum, where showers were also effective from time to time.
