The teams started their search with the assumption that the fishing boat named Güner Kaptan-1, which is 10 meters long, drifted towards the Cyprus Island due to the wind speed exceeding 70/80 kilometers per hour. The boat was detected in the north of Cyprus 3 days after it disappeared, with the Coast Guard’s sensitive studies calculating the direction and strength of the wind. The boat, which was dragged for more than 200 kilometers while straying, was taken to Yeşilovacık Fishing Shelter in Silifke district of Mersin. The bread boat, which is the livelihood of 3 families, was delivered to its owner by the Coast Guard units.
