Dokuz Eylül University Maritime Faculty Alumni Association (DEFMED) held its ordinary general assembly meeting. At the meeting held at the Izmir Chamber of Shipping, Orçun Erbayraktar, who has been the Chairman of the DEFMED Board of Directors for 6 years, handed over his position to Bülent İbik.
Speaking about the handover of duties, Erbayraktar said, “At the DEFMED Ordinary General Assembly held yesterday, I handed over the position of Chairman of the DEFMED Board of Directors, which I have been carrying out with great honor for 6 years. During this process, together with our Board of Directors, we strived to carry out beneficial activities for our graduates, our association, our students, our sector and our country. “I wish endless success to the new board of directors, chaired by my friend Bülent İbik, with the belief that they will work to take our association even further than it is now,” he said.
