As part of the “Ölüdeniz International Water Games” held for the first time this year, national athlete Devrim Cenk Ulusoy broke the world record by diving to 78 meters.

Devrim Cenk Ulusoy dived off the coast of Ölüdeniz on the second day of the event organized in cooperation with Muğla Environmental Protection Foundation (MUÇEV), Beach Of Lagoon and tourism companies and water sports centers in Ölüdeniz, within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

The national athlete successfully dived 78 meters without fins in 2 minutes and 47 seconds in the masters category.

Devrim Cenk Ulusoy told members of the press that he broke the Turkish record in his category during his dive yesterday.

Stating that his goal in today’s dive was to break the world record, Ulusoy said, “I reached 78 meters in 2 minutes and 47 seconds. The world record was 72 meters. I am very happy about this. There was a lot of support. My main sponsors are Transbos and Mustafa Can Bey. We achieved this success with great support.” .” he said.
