Pergamon Seaways, which departed from DFDS Pendik Terminal at full capacity on the night of 7 February to deliver construction equipment and supplies to the disaster area, with the coordination of the TR Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, AFAD, Istanbul Governorship, Pendik District Governorship, UND and ITO logistics committee. , approached Iskenderun at 03:15 on Friday (February 10th).
In addition to 245 heavy-duty machines and vehicles, food, beverages, heaters, generators, blankets, tents, etc. supplies were delivered to Iskenderun to be put at the disposal of earthquake victims and search and rescue teams. The transfer of construction equipment operators and vehicle drivers from Istanbul to Hatay was also coordinated by DFDS.
Specially trained dogs working in the ports of Pendik and Mersin, where DFDS provides services, have also been supporting search and rescue efforts in the region since the day the earthquake disaster occurred.
