Greece will send frigates to the Red Sea

In his statement, Dendias stated that the international community is facing a major security problem in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden and said that attacks on commercial ships threaten human life, international security and stability.

Dendias said, “Upon the order of Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis, I asked the Greek Chief of General Staff Konstandinos Floros and the Chief of the Navy to include a frigate of the Greek Navy in Operation Welfare Guardian in order to protect merchant ships and the lives of sailors.”
