Iran announced that it seized 17 boats carrying smuggled fuel in the Gulf of Oman in the southeast of the country and detained 12 people related to smuggling.
According to the news of Iranian state television, Chabahar Naval Base Commander Ali Hacetpur stated that 17 boats carrying 12 thousand liters of smuggled fuel were seized in the operation carried out off the coast of Chabahar city on the coast of the Gulf of Oman within the scope of the fight against smuggling.
The Iranian commander stated that 12 people were detained during the operation.
