The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Joint Coordination Center established in Istanbul within the framework of the Grain Corridor Agreement has started its activities.

Russia announced that the Joint Coordination Center established in Istanbul within the framework of safe grain exports from Ukrainian ports has started its activities.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, “In accordance with the provisions of the Consensus Initiative on the Safe Transport of Grain from the Ports of Ukraine, the Joint Coordination Center started its work in Istanbul.

An advanced group of Russian experts will go to Istanbul and work will begin today in quadruple format. It was stated that the head of the Russian expert group was Rear Admiral Eduard Luik.

Last week, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations (UN) signed the “Safe Shipment of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian Ports Initiative Document”, which includes the establishment of a grain corridor for the shipment of Ukrainian grain to the world market.
