“Possible explosion” warning from the British Shipping Organization to ships in the Red Sea

The UK Shipping Organization (UKMTO) announced that it had received reports of drone activity and a “possible explosion” near the Red Sea’s Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

In the UKMTO statement, “Reports have been received regarding drone activity, including possible explosions, coming from the direction of Yemen around the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.” The expression was used.

In the statement, ships in the vicinity were called to be careful and to report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.

Following the start of Israel’s attacks on Gaza, the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen threatened to target ships belonging to Israeli companies on November 19.

The Israeli army announced on November 26 that it shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) heading towards the country from the Red Sea.
