It was reported that the sperm whale that washed ashore in the Australian state of Western Australia yesterday died.

According to the news of 9News, the national news service in Australia, the country’s Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) made a statement on its Facebook account about the whale hitting Rockingham Beach in Perth, the capital of the state.

In the statement, it was noted that the 15-meter-long sperm whale, which washed ashore as a result of being hit by a boat yesterday, died in the morning hours today.

Kelly Waples, a doctor from DBCA who specializes in marine mammals, stated in his statement on the subject that the whale became very weak before it died and said, “It is quite unusual to see whales this close to the shore. Their weight is over 30 tons… You can imagine that their internal organs were crushed under all this body weight.” ” she said.

The sperm whale is known as a marine mammal species from the Physeteroidea family that is common in all oceans.
