The body of the fisherman, who disappeared after sailing with his boat in Cide district of Kastamonu, was found 6 months later.

A man’s body was caught in the fishermen’s net about 1 kilometer away from Doğanyurt district. The fishermen, who took the body to the boat, returned to the district and reported the situation to the police.

In the examination, the identity of Doğan Çelen (39), who could not be heard from after he went to sea to fish from the İlyasbey village location of the Cide district on September 26 last year, was found on the body.

Relatives who came to the district identified that the body belonged to Çelen. The body was sent to Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death.

After sailing near İlyasbey village for fishing, Çelen’s boat was not heard from, and his boat was found in Kerempe Feneri after a while, and his relatives reported the situation to the gendarmerie. Despite the efforts of the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Command teams, Doğan’s body could not be reached.
