US and Philippines begin second joint patrols in South China Sea - News2Sea

The USA and the Philippines launched the second joint patrol activity in the South China Sea, which will last for 2 days.

According to the news of the Philippine News Agency, Colonel stated that it was planned to be carried out.

Stating that AFP used 4 Philippine Navy vehicles, search and rescue helicopters and anti-submarine helicopters in the event, Trinidad noted that the USA also took part in the patrol with 4 Navy vehicles, fast warships, two destroyer ships and various aircraft.

Philippine Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner stated that the event showed the cooperation between the two countries and the development of AFP’s defense technologies.

The first joint patrol event between the Philippines and the USA was held on 21-23 November 2023.
