Fire broke out in engine room of bulk carrier SAMUDRA SAKTI III in the morning Sep 24, at Bandar Lampung anchorage, East Sumatra, Sunda Strait. Bulk carrier arrived at anchorage on Sep 21 from Singapore. The ship’s in ballast, 26 crew were evacuated, tugs and firefighting boats were deployed. As of morning Sep 25, situation is understood to be under control.
