Fire broke out in living quarters of oceanic reefer trawler SUNFISH on Nov 27, in Okhotsk sea off western coast of Kamchatka Peninsula. During Nov 27 – 28, crew managed to extinguish fire by own means. Some smoke reported in the morning Nov 28, trawler under way with all equipment operable, proceeding to 1st Khuril Strait to wait out storm and meet with SAR ship. There are 104 people on board, fire started in cabin and galley, extent of damages unknown.
