Contacts with deep-dive tour submersible TITAN were lost on Jun 19 in North Atlantic, in TITANIC disaster site area, some 350 nm SE of Newfoundland. TITAN was diving to TITAN wreck on a tour. USA and Canada Coast Guard joined forces in unfolding SAR, understood the first ship to search for any traces of missing submersible in the area is support vessel VIZCONDE DE EZA (IMO 9206308), and probably, fishing vessels also.

TITAN is a carbon fiber and titanium submersible with a depth range of 4,000 meters. Titan is the only sub in the world that can take five crewmembers to these depths.
Dimensions: 670cm x 280cm x 250cm; weight 10 tons; speed 2 knots; 4 thrusters; life support 96 hours; complement 1 crew + 4 passengers.
